For the past few weeks I have been keeping this under wraps as I didn’t want to jinx myself. It’s no secret that I’ve been looking for a job and while I had an offer with one company, that same afternoon I got a call from another company that I was particularly invested in.
After 3 interviews, a background check, and waiting on pins and needles for the results to come back, I heard back today and can expect to receive my new hire paperwork, including the offer letter in 3-5 days. I cannot even begin to express my excitement and while it means having to take phone calls for a year before I can apply for a Team Manager position, I’m still ecstatic at the offer!
Not only will this allow us to pay off our credit card bills but it also means we can start really saving for a down payment on a new house and finalize our decision to either stay in Arizona or move.
I’ve also done some digging online and found out that this company offers fertility coverage so this job will go a long way into helping us conceive. We’re hoping that we’ll be able to jump straight to IVF but we still have to come up with the funds to participate in the clinic’s shared risk program for some type of insurance should our first attempt fail.
Overall, I feel like things are starting to look up and I’m hopeful for what the future will hold. I’ve always been a believer that everything happens for a reason and getting the call to interview the afternoon after I received an offer for a different company is a sure sign that it’s true. Plus, it’s nice to know that I can still work from home, while significantly contributing to the household expenses. It’s been a long time since my pay check made me feel worthy and I am just so thankful that this company values its employees enough to recognize that what you’re paid does have an impact on the quality of your work and the type of employees you have.
My hope is to remain with this company and start a career as I’ve heard amazing things about their core values. I’m really looking forward to loving what I do again because it’s been some time since I’ve felt that.
Here’s to a fantastic new year.
